Empty Block

Last Updated: Jun 13, 2017 03:22PM EDT

A placeholder block for use in layout and container blocks.

Drag this block into your app and then you can edit it's settings by right clicking on the block with your mouse.

There are two common uses for the Empty block. The first usage example is when it's the child of a Stack block and it takes up a flexible amount of empty space in the design.

The other common usage is when the Empty Block is used as a placeholder which will be swapped out with other content for example when it's the child of a Container Block. An example of this might be when a button in a view is clicked upon text will appear in the view. In this example, when the user taps upon the image a Container Block which originally contained an empty block (the placeholder child block) is set (swapped out) with a child block which contains a text block.

ADA Text When ADA is enabled on a device, when this block is tapped, then the ADA Text displayed in this field will be read.
