For Live Feed this Action filters the feed based on the value passed via a Query Parameter of the feed.
For On Device SQL DB this Action defines the condition of a WHERE clause of a SQL statement.

How to use more than one parameter?
The data source filters accumulate until the data source refreshes. So you can call the 'Define a Data source filter' action several times with different parameters and then when the data source is refreshed ALL of those parameters will be sent to the server using a 'Refresh Data Source' action for example.
