Play LOCAL Audio File

 

Introduction

Play LOCAL Audio file is part of a series of Actions to control audio files locally stored on your device.

ONLY Audio file stored in


Streaming Audio file will not be played with that action, review Play Streaming Audio 


Typical use

Any local sound, for example the 'click' of a button or a sound associated to a "Switch to another View" etc..
These audio files are stored in the app itself they are not coming from a remote data feed (streaming) they are Stored in the Media Folder.

If your audio file is stored in the Media Folder, you need to enter the name of the audio file EXACTLY as it is stored in the Media Folder.
If your audio file is stored in a Local SQL Database, use the Expression Editor to select the audio field.

In this example the Local Audio file name is: 'select_in.wav'

 

ACTIONS

You can control the playback of these Audio Files with these actions:
  • Stop Play LOCAL Audio File
  • Stop Play All LOCAL Audio Files
  • Pause Play Local Audio File
  • Pause Play ALL Local Audio Files

EVENT

You have App Wide Event triggered by the Playback.
You can access these event in the App Edit section:

Select Events to access App Wide Events then the Audio Playback section:


Here are the different App Wide Actions available to trigger action based on these respective events:
