Go to Matching Record Action

Last Updated: Mar 08, 2017 09:05PM EST

This causes the selected column to be searched for the value (Search Value). That record will be set to be the now-current record. Generally you should use a value which will pick a unique record, otherwise you will not always find the same matching record.

Data Source

Indicates which data source to act on. The matching record in that table will be made the current record.

The records will be inspected for the first one that contains the "search value" in this column.

Search Value

This value will be used to search for a matching record.

Matching Record Found

If you put a key name here, then it will be set to "true" or "false". The "true" value indicates a matching record exists in the data source; "false" means no matching record was found. When you enter the statement true or false as a condition in an action, you do not use the " ", simply enter: true or false. See examples
